I had made some fresh salsa the night before to go on our dinner and the next day we still had this big bowl of salsa that we wanted to devour, but we had no chips. So I decided to use the extra tortillas from the night before to experiment!
I’m a sucker for anything homemade. It just tastes better! Am I right? I always jump at the chance to experiment and make new things. This was my chance to shine! I love that when I make something from scratch at home, I know every single ingredient that is going into my food. Yeah you can read a label, but sometimes can you really read the label?
These chips are so light and crispy and have just the right amount of flavor. They pair amazing with my homemade salsa, head over to that recipe if you want a real yummy snack!

Air-fryer Tortilla Chips
Equipment
- 1 Air-fryer
Ingredients
- 5-10 Fajita sized tortillas
- Cooking Spray I used avocado oil spray
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 Lime (optional)
Instructions
- Start by preheating your air-fryer to 385°
- Grab 5 tortillas and place them on top of each other and slice them into 8 pieces
- Depending on air-fryer size, toss some in so that they are not overlapping too much.
- Lightly coat the slices in cooking spray, squeeze some fresh lime juice (if you choose to or you can skip this part), and sprinkle some salt on top.
- Air-fry them for 4-5 minutes, tossing every 1-2 minutes. This ensures that you are not going to overcook your chips and that they are getting evenly cooked.
- Let stand for 2-3 minutes and enjoy with your favorite dip or just plain!
